February 13, 2020, or how I came to hate this day and the people in charge of work schedules at Disneyland

So where to start with this one? Oh I know how, let's talk about the fact that today is gonna be one of "those" days. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy my co-workers at Disneyland and how the work environment is, which is to say that it is pretty relaxed, but there are days where I do wish that I was at home or didn't work into the graveyard hours. I'm saying this because I ended up getting one of the dreaded Disneyland After Dark shifts, and I say dreaded because not only does this mean I get stuck there until 2:30am, but it's more than likely going to be so inactive that all of us are gonna wander around the kitchen, bored out of our minds and wondering why we are still even open if we get about 5 people per hour. I honestly could use that time to do my homework or get some more sleep for my shift tomorrow at 12pm, seeing as how I have to leave two hours before it starts due to the abysmal traffic that most of Southern California is known for. Now that, I can forgive, but then comes my work week for the week of February 16th (mind you, Disney starts each individual week on Sundays), and I get dumped with 2 days off, even though I have stated with the people in charge of the schedules that I wanted at least 3-4 days off for the sake of studying and doing homework for my classes, but in all honesty, it feels like they don't even read the comments that are put on the forms that I fill out and they just go into autopilot mode. If anything, the whole crew behind scheduling needs to be replaced if they can't figure out who is currently going to school and that they honestly think only 2 days off from work is suitable enough to catch up on homework and then relax.
